Disneyland

Monday, April 6

Oh happy day! It is spring break for my littlest sis [Alicia] so my Momma, Kelli & Alicia all came to visit us in California! Wohooo! Yipee! Happy dance! Can you tell I'm excited? I miss my family soooooo much.

The weather decided to get a bit chilly which I'm actually totally in love with, but it did put a damper on my sisters beach plans. But do you know what is perfect in 65 degree weather? DISNEYLAND! I haven't been to Disneyland since I was on the drill team in college and holy yikes I'm getting old because that was a long time ago. And ya, I really am getting old because look what I'm wearing! I wore my good old tennis shoes (well, actually they're brand new) to Disneyland cause this momma is all about comfort these days.

Selfie.

Watching Tenley meet the Disney characters was the highlight of my day. She was so shy in the beginning, but slowly warmed up.  She loves Pluto and calls him "Poo Doh."  Every time we would see any character from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, she would start singing "hot dog,  hot dog!"

My mom was so nice to watch Tenley for awhile so I could go on a few rides with my sissies + Rachel who kind of looks like one of us so we'll keep her.

Just call my mom the baby whisperer. Tenley never, and I mean N E V E R  falls asleep in public. But look what I came back to....a completely zonked out Tenley sleeping in her stroller. Of course she has Buzz Light Year there to comfort her. We tried to get her to want the Minnie Mouse toy, or even the Mickey Mouse toy, but this girl knows what she wants and she was not going to let go of Buzz.

Having a nice nutritious snack, because when in Disneyland....

I have always loved the Pirates of the Caribbean  ride and I love that I got to take Tenley on this ride. The line was crazy long. We waited well over an hour and look how happy she is! She was making everyone around her laugh, including me. She seriously deserved an award for being so happy.

When it was our turn to finally get in the boat she was in total awe. I forgot how loud and slightly scary (for a 2 year old) this ride is, but she never cried and just clung on to me like this throughout the  ride. Melt. My. Heart.

We tried to get a good pic of all of us in front of Cinderella's Castle. This is the best we could do.

The outtakes might be even better. Remember how I was just giving my child an award for being so good? Maybe I spoke too soon. JK. JK.  I love getting smacked in the face.

I wanted to get something for Tenley before we left but she wanted the entire store. I have a hard time saying no to that face. But I held strong and only bought her one stuffed animal. Go me!

We had such a fun time at Disneyland and I can't wait to go back!
